Bomb Threat Against George Washington Bridge?

Officials say a bomb threat made against the George Washington Bridge is not credible.

The threat was phoned in on Super Bowl Sunday, a day of heightened security in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Anthony Hayes says agency, federal, state and local police took the threat seriously, but deemed in was not credible.

No one is in custody.

The double-decked bridge spans the Hudson River and connects New Jersey with New York.

It has been in the news recently as authorities investigate a scandal in which officials with ties to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie allegedly ordered access lanes to the bridge closed to punish the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee for not endorsing the Republican governor.
