Police have confirmed that the body of a woman found in a Philadelphia river last week is that of a missing woman.
Family members last saw 21-year-old Fatima Rahman on Jan. 2 at her home on the 4300 block of Chestnut Street, according to officials.
Police say the woman left her medications behind at her residence. Authorities say she also left without her cell phone and jacket.
On March 19 around 9:45 a.m., police found the body of a woman in the Schuylkill River. On Monday they announced the body was identified as Rahman.
Investigators say they found no evidence of trauma. They continue to investigate.
