Body ID'd as Missing NJ Dad

A body found Thursday in a Cumberland County lake has been identified as missing Woodbine father, Khalil Wallace, according to authorities.

The 19-year-old was last seen climbing into a van in front of the Dollar General on Washington Avenue in Woodbine on September 20. The same van was found, on fire, in Southwest Philadelphia later that day.

On Thursday, police used fingerprints to identify a body found in a lake near Dragston Road in Downe Township as Wallace’s.

Wallace, a former Rowan University football, leaves behind an 9-month-old daughter.

Detectives say that Wallace has been arrested on drug charges before and that they aren't sure if his past had anything to do with his disappearance or his death.

Police will continue to investigate.
