Arrest Made After Body Found in Receptacle

Authorities have made an arrest in the slaying of a Camden man whose remains were found in a recycling receptacle.

Camden County Prosecutor's Office say 21-year-old Lashaun Brown-Bunch is charged with murder in the death of 23-year-old Adrian Rivera. He was due to be arraigned on Monday afternoon.

Rivera's remains were found last December. A medical examiner determined that he died of "unspecified homicidal violence.''

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that court records state Brown-Bunch told detectives that about $2,000 in drugs went missing from a Camden-based drug operation. Brown-Bunch said he attacked Rivera after he admitted taking the drugs.

A witness told investigators that Brown-Bunch "hacked'' Rivera with a sharp instrument and had his pit bull bite Rivera.
