Body Found in Overheated Car, Suspect Arrested

State police have arrested a suspect in the case of a body found inside an overheated car along a western Pennsylvania highway.

Police say in a Thursday evening release that the man was arrested in connection with the homicide of 67-year-old Earl Weygandt, of Champion. They plan to hold a press conference Friday morning to discuss the case.

Police found Weygandt's body about 10 p.m. Wednesday in Donegal, about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Authorities say Weygandt was stabbed nine times, including wounds to the neck that severed his jugular veins and esophagus.
