Southbound lanes on Roosevelt Boulevard are back open after a water main break in Northeast Philadelphia.

Southbound lanes on Roosevelt Boulevard are back open after a water main break in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Roosevelt Boulevard at Woodward Street. The break caused water to flow from the ground and the sidewalks on part of the southbound outer lanes to buckle.

Crews repaired the main and were able to restore water to the area.

Southbound outer lanes were closed between Woodrow Street and Winchester Avenue. They reopened around 3 p.m.
