Authorities say a bear roaming through a suburban Philadelphia community has been captured and taken out of the area.
Officials in Bucks County said the animal was spotted in a wooded area behind the Pennsbury Racquet and Athletic Club in Morrisville just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
Conservation officers told LevittownNow.com the bear likely left its mother's care recently and was starting to live life on its own.
Falls Township police contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which hit the bear with a tranquilizer dart and removed it from the area.
Lt. Hank Ward of the township police department said the animal weighed 161 pounds. No injuries were reported.
The bear will be tagged and set free in a less populated area.
A series of bear sightings have been reported since the weather turned warm. About a month ago, another black bear was spotted snacking on some bird seed in a Quakertown, Bucks County backyard.

Before that, black bears were seen swimming in Philadelphia's Wissahickon Creek, Chester County in Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware.
