A western Pennsylvania man serving 45 years to life in prison for the fatal shootings of three people at a birthday party is seeking a hearing to address new evidence.
Isaiah Hereford was convicted in August 2011 of second-degree murder, but not possessing a firearm. He received a mandatory life sentence.
The former McKeesport man was re-sentenced in December 2014 after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling found mandatory life sentences for juvenile offenders are unconstitutional.
Hereford was 17 at the time of the June 2010 shootings.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that a defense attorney in court Wednesday said a woman saw two men running from the scene, neither of whom was Hereford.
Prosecutors say there was other evidence, including more than a dozen calls between Hereford and his co-defendant leading up to the slayings.
Hereford's co-defendent, Deanthony Kirk, is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the case.
