Cyclist Attacked by 4 Teens

The alleged attack took place on July 31.

One man says he was attacked by four teens while riding his bike along Kelly Drive on July 31.

Christopher Dean says around 6 p.m., he was hit by at least one of the four teens and can’t remember what happened next.

Two people barbecuing along Kelly Drive rushed to help him.

The biker believes that the attack was random. The alleged suspects did not steal anything from Dean.

Dean’s skull was cracked and his face injured as a result of the alleged attack.



The victim did file a police report.

Police are investigating the incident.

A rash of teen violence has plagued the city as of late. Over the weekend, Philadelphia police began enforcing a midnight curfew in order to curb the violence. 

On Monday, Mayor Nutter and District Attorney Seth Williams announced the city's holistic approach to stop with the mayor is calling intolerable behavior.
