Big-Rig Hauling Lumber Overturns on New Jersey Turnpike

A tractor-trailer that was hauling lumber overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike Friday morning, creating a traffic nightmare.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. in the northbound truck lanes of the Turnpike just north of Exit 6 in Burlington County.

The crash involved a tractor-trailer and a box truck.

The tractor-trailer overturned and sent lumber across the roadway.

Two occupants of the tractor-trailer were temporarily trapped, but were removed with minor injuries.

As a result of the crash, all truck lanes in the northbound side were closed.

The crash remains under investigation.
