Big Cleanup Underway on the Parkway

The City of Brotherly Love has celebrated Independence Day with food, fun, a free concert and a firework show over the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

And now the big cleanup is underway.

Workers moved quickly Friday morning to get the parkway cleaned for the morning rush. Crews will break down the stage throughout the day.

The Benjamin Franklin Parkway in downtown Philadelphia was lined Thursday with food vendors and packed with nearly 500,000 people as the daylong event led into the evening show.

Billed as the largest free Fourth of July concert in the nation, the show featured several hit-makers including hometown favorites, The Roots.

Comedian and Philadelphia native Kevin Hart hosted the concert, which included performances by John Mayer, Jill Scott, Ne-Yo, Grace Potter, J. Cole, and Hunter Hayes, capped by fireworks.
