A bicyclist was flown to the hospital after being hit by a school bus in Montgomery County, Pa.
A man is in the hospital after police say he was struck by a school bus.
Police say the victim was riding his bicycle on Rockland and Price Streets in Belmont Hills Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a Lower Merion School District Bus.
A medical chopper could not land at the location of the crash due to the narrow streets and power lines. Instead, the chopper landed in the NBC10 parking lot on Monument Road in Bala Cynwyd. The ambulance took the victim to our parking lot and transferred him to the chopper. The victim was then flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Officials have not yet revealed his condition.
The bus remained at the scene. Police say children were on board at the time of the accident though none of them were injured. They were transferred to another bus and then taken home.
