A Bethlehem man brutally beat his 70-year-old wife and left her in a pool of blood inside their home for more than a day, according to police.
William Kimmel, 64, fractured his wife's neck, eye socket and wrist in the Friday night beating, police say.
Sandra Kimmel called police Sunday morning, weak-voiced, saying she'd been attacked.
When officers got to the house, they say the husband told them his wife was sleeping upstairs.
Sandra's eyes were swollen shut and she was bleeding from a gash on her head when officers found her.
The victim told police her husband pummeled her after she returned from playing cards at a senior center.
William Kimmel is being held on $200,000 bail.
