Bethany Beach firefighters rescued two people from a pickup truck that was rapidly sinking into floodwaters.
WDEL-FM reports that a truck broke down and got stuck in high standing water on South Inlet Road in Bethany Beach on Saturday afternoon. When firefighters arrived, they found one of the occupants of the truck standing on the roof of the truck. The other passenger was still inside.
Neither of the truck's occupants needed medical attention after the rescue, and the truck was pulled to safety, though it suffered water damage.
