Chester County Teen Jumps to Death From Trail Bridge

A teenager jumped to his death from a popular Chester County trail Tuesday morning.

Witnesses saw the unidentified 17-year-old from Devon jump from the former railway trestle that is now part of the Chester Valley Trail near Valley Forge Road in Berwyn, Pennsylvania around 7:45 a.m., said the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.

Emergency responders found the boy’s body on Valley Forge Road, about 50 yards south of Swedesford Road. The Chester County Coroner’s Office will determine a cause of death, said police.

Police withheld the boy’s name pending family notification.
