Bar Near UPenn Busted for Underage Drinking: Police

A bar located near the University of Pennsylvania campus was busted for alleged underage drinking.

On Friday at 11:30 p.m., State Police officers along with officers with Liquor Control Enforcement conducted an investigation at The Blarney Stone, on the 3900 block of Sansom Street in University City for allegations of underage drinking.

Police ultimately issued citations to 22 minors. Twenty of those minors were cited for underage drinking and seven of them were charged with carrying a fake ID card.

Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement Sergeant Dan Steele told the Daily Pennsylvanian that the Blarney Stone will receive an administrative citation with an “enhanced penalty.”
