$1.5M Bail Set for Man Charged in Camden Shooting

Bail has been set at $1.5 million cash for a Camden man charged with murder in the shooting death of another city resident.

Tashad Henry didn't enter a plea during his arraignment hearing Friday. He was arrested Thursday night in Bridgeton by a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force squad.

Camden County prosecutors say the 22-year-old Henry shot and killed 48-year-old Walter Davis during a June 29 fight in the 300 block of Sycamore Street. County police found the wounded victim there after they responded to a 911 call.

Davis had suffered "multiple'' gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, but he died there a short time later.

Authorities say another man is also being sought in the shooting, though it's not clear if he's considered a suspect.
