A 22-month-old baby boy is in fighting for his life after falling out of a moving vehicle and being hit by another on Sunday in North Philadelphia.

The accident happened around noon on Fox Street.

Police say that the child was in the backseat of a Chevy Trailblazer, unrestrained, when the SUV made a left turn causing him to fall out of the car and onto the street.

It was then that the baby was run over.

Witnesses say the driver of the Trailblazer picked the child up and drove him to the Temple Hospital where he is in severely critical condition.

Police are investigating the incident.

There is no word on whether or not charges will be filed.
