A baby girl, just 3 months old, had head injuries that were so bad, she was in critical condition Tuesday afternoon, according to The Daily Journal.
The dad is charged in the case, according to Millville Police. The Journal says the 22-year-old father told police he accidentally dropped his baby girl. Police say the dad never called for help.
On Monday, police talked to the mom first, who was being treated at a Medical Center in Vineland for a fractured eye socket.
The 19-year-old told them she’d been assaulted inside her home, so that was the next stop for the cops.
That’s where they found the baby girl, who was wrapped in a blanket on the couch, lying on her back, had an obvious head injury and breathing problems, according to the Journal report.
The dad was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
