Authorities: Man Under House Arrest Sold Drugs

Several charges have been filed against a man who allegedly sold drugs from his southern New Jersey home while he was under house arrest.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash for Michael Mack, a 25-year-old Gloucester Township resident who was arrested Friday on weapons and drug distribution charges. Authorities say they found "a significant quantity of heroin'' at the home, along with marijuana, narcotics packaging materials and a pistol.

Township police say Mack sold heroin to undercover police officers while he was on electronically monitored house arrest. They did not provide further details, though, about why he was under house arrest.

It was not known Saturday if Mack has retained a lawyer regarding the new charges he faces.
