Attacker Blinds Drexel Student in 1 Eye: Cops

The Avalon Police are searching for a man who allegedly caused a Drexel student to go blind in one eye.

Authorities say that back on May 28, 19-year-old Sam Stone was sitting in the back of his friend’s SUV at a stoplight on the corner of 21st Street and Ocean Drive in Avalon, N.J. around 11:50 p.m.

Suddenly, investigators say a group of men approached the vehicle and started to kick and punch the rear window.

“This tall man walked around the back of the car and came to the window that I was at and just punched it in,” said Sam. “I was like less than 3 inches away from it so the glass just came in and shattered my eye.”

It’s uncertain whether Sam will get his vision back in his eye.
