Atlantic City's shuttered Showboat casino hotel is reopening next month as a non-gambling hotel.
Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein says 852 of the complex's 1,300 rooms will be open to the public in July.
The hotel will still be called the Showboat.
Caesars Entertainment closed the still-profitable Showboat casino-hotel in August 2014, the second of four Atlantic City casinos to close that year. The Showboat was shuttered to reduce competition for Caesars' three remaining casinos in Atlantic City.
Blatstein has shown a great appetite for non-gambling attractions in Atlantic City.
Last year, he bought the former Pier Shops complex on the beachfront and rebranded it as the Playground, with a mixture of restaurants, nightspots and shopping.
