Court documents show that Atlantic City has agreed to pay $195,000 to settle an excessive force complaint against two police officers.
The Press of Atlantic City reports the settlement stems from a March 2013 incident in which a man accused officers of assaulting him while he was in the city for a state high school wrestling tournament.
The man claimed that a group of officers had entered his room and assaulted him.
The settlement maintains no wrongdoing by the officers.
The man's attorney and the police department declined to comment on the settlement.
