Arrest in Attack of 71-Year-Old A.C. Man

Police have arrested and charged an Atlantic City teen in the brutal attack that left a 71-year-old man critically injured.

Alfred Kessleski was found badly beaten and bloody at Georgia and Atlantic Avenues just before 2 a.m. Friday.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested Friday night at his home around 8:45 p.m. on North Florida Avenue, according to Sergeant Monica McMenamin. His name  has not been released because of his age.

The attack happened outside the victim’s home – and across the street from the Ducktown Tavern, where he had been shortly before the beating.

The victim remains in critical condition at AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center with injuries that include broken ribs and a fractured skull.
