Armed Robbers Target 2 Homes in Neighborhood

Police are investigating a string of back to back armed robberies on the same street in Lansdale.

Talk about double trouble. A string of back to back armed robberies occurred on the same street in Lansdale only days apart.

On October 19, at approximately 10:15 AM, Lansdale Police responded to a reported home invasion and robbery at a house on 700 Blk Willow Street.  According to the Lansdale Police Department, the victim, a 23 year old male, reported he was sleeping at his house when he heard someone prying open his door with a crowbar.  Investigators say two armed men entered the home and stole several of his electronic items.

A similar scenario occurred on October 22 around 10:20 AM, when Lansdale Police once again had to respond to a reported home invasion and robbery at another house on 700 Blk Willow Street.  This time, a 24-year-old woman reported that two men broke into the home, threatened her with a gun and bound her hands and feet with tape.  The men then allegedly stole several electronic items from the house. The victim claimed that the thieves asked questions relating to the identity of the male resident.
Investigators say the suspects were targeting a specific person and that this was not a random act.

Police continue to investigate both incidents. Anyone with information on either incident should contact the Lansdale Police at (215) 368-1801.
