An armed robber invaded a North Philly home and pistol whipped a man Saturday morning before taking off with more than $1,000 in cash and a smart phone.
The suspect broke into the home, located on the 2800 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue, just after 6 a.m. and struck the male resident in his face with a gun, police said.
The robber then fled the scene with $1,500 and an iPhone, authorities said.
Medics rushed the victim to Hahnemann University Hospital in stable condition, according to officials.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
