Police are searching for at least four men who they say committed a robbery and home invasion in Whitpain Township.

It happened Monday shortly after 1 p.m. at a home on the 300 block of Railroad Avenue in the West Ambler section of the town, according to police.

Investigators say four men wearing ski masks entered the home and held the residents at gunpoint. They allegedly tied up five people inside the house while they stole money and jewelry. Police say they then ran out of the house once a neighbor came to the front door and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspects were described as three dark skinned black males and a short, light skinned black male. Police also say a fifth suspect, described as a black male with a beard, may also have been involved. Police say the suspect was driving a white, four-door Buick LeSabre.

Anyone with information on the incident should call the Whitpain Township Police Department at 610-279-9033.
