Hundreds of people were forced out of their Germantown apartments on Tuesday night because of a power failure.

About 240 people were evacuated from the two 4-story buildings along West Tulpehocken Street.

Peco tells NBC10 some equipment inside the building failed. It isn't PECO equipment, but the company is working with the buildings' owner to fix it.
