Another Shooting in Chester

Gov. David Paterson signed a bill this morning that bans authorities from compiling the names and addresses of the hundreds of thousands of innocent people who are detained by police each year in stop-and-frisks but are not arrested.

A man was shot in Chester -- though police are not calling the shooting a homicide.

The shooting took place at 1127 Clover Lane at about 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. Police have not released the name or age of the victim.

The man was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center for treatment. His status is unknown.

The Chester Police Department has not made any arrests or released any information about the motive for the shooting.
