On Monday, Amtrak unveiled a new locomotive that is dedicated to anyone who has served in the United States Armed Forces.
The event, which was held in Wilmington, introduced the “Veteran’s Locomotive 642,” which Amtrak officials say stands as a company-wide tribute to all those who served in the United States Armed Forces.
The locomotive features a red, white and blue paint scheme, 50 stars, and a specially designed logo with military campaign service ribbons.
The locomotive will operate along the Northeast and Keystone Corridors. It will operate alongside 70 new electric locomotives.
