Amber Alert Suspect Apprehended in NJ

Terry Dusseault, Jr. was found unharmed at a Medford County ShopRite.

Terry Dusseault, Jr., the 8-year-old boy who was abducted by his father, Terry Dusseault, Sr. early Tuesday was found, unharmed, at the Medford Township ShopRite.

The child was taken from the home in Lumberton, N.J. that he shares with his dad, a registered sex offender, and an Amber Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect and his son were apprehended when a concerned citizen spotted their vehicle and alerted authorities. Dusseault, Sr. was then taken into the custody of Medford Township Police.

The 38-year-old father was charged with sexually assaulting three children Tuesday before he took Terry, Jr. from their home, according to police.

Officials say that although there was no evidence to suggest that Dusseault ever molested his son, the Amber Alert was issued over concern for the father's mental state. That alert has since been canceled.
