An alleged gunman is in the hospital after investigators say he was shot by police.
Police were chasing the man early Sunday morning on the 1200 block of North Franklin Street, according to investigators. During the pursuit, police say the man pointed a gun at the officers. The officers shot the man three times, striking him in the face, neck and shoulder.
The man was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he is currently in critical condition. Police have not yet revealed why they were chasing him in the first place.
