Adopt a Greyhound

Huge influx of pups arriving to Philly in next two weeks

The National Greyhound Adoption Program in Philadelphia is getting dogs from Florida and Alabama. In all, 56 greyhounds will arrive at the Northeast Philadelphia adoption kennel over the next two weeks.

This is the largest number the NGAP has ever received in such a short period of time.

The greyhounds are former racing dogs that would have been euthanized if not for the adoption program.

“All of the dogs that we bring up, we intend to adopt,” said Director of NGAP David Wolf. “The dogs that leave here are ready to be adopted and they will become wonderful loving pets.”
