The rest of summations have been postponed in the trial of a former Rutgers University student accused of using a webcam to spy on his roommate.
The arguments ended abruptly Tuesday morning when defense lawyer Steven Altman asked for a break about an hour into his final presentation to the jury. A sheriff's deputy said the trial would resume at 1 p.m.
No reason was given for the delay.
Altman had been feeling ill since last week and when he started Tuesday, his voice was shaky. His wife was heard in the courtroom saying he was heading to a doctor.
Altman represents Dharun Ravi, who is charged with 15 criminal counts, including bias intimidation and invasion of privacy.
His roommate, Tyler Clementi, committed suicide days after the alleged spying in September 2010.
