Pearl Gosnell, 49, of Philadelphia is the wife of Kermit Gosnell, and is accused of performing illegal abortions at the clinic. She is charged with abortion at 24 or more weeks, conspiracy, and other charges.
A judge significantly lowered the bail for Pearl Gosnell, wife and accused accomplice to Southwest Philly abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, Monday morning.
Pearl Gosnell will be freed to house arrest once she pays a $50,000 bond and authorities install electronic monitoring in her home, according to her new attorney F. Michael Medway.
Her bail was dropped from it’s original $1 million bail.
Pearl Gosnell, 50, has been in prison since Jan. 19, when she, her husband and eight employees of the Women’s Medical Society abortion clinic were arrested on charges ranging from the murders of seven babies and a 41-year-old patient of the clinic, to performing illegal late-term abortions.
Kermit Gosnell, 70, who allegedly performed late-term abortions in which he induced labor and then cut the spinal cords of the live babies born with surgical scissors, is being held without bail.
