AMBER ALERT CANCELED: Father Arrested After Allegedly Abducting Girl and Stabbing Her Mother

An AMBER ALERT has been canceled for a man accused of abducting his young daughter after stabbing the girl's mother.

State Police say they found 51-year-old Diomedes Valenzuela and his 3-year-old daughter inside a grey 2004 Dodge Caravan on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton, New Jersey Tuesday. Valenzuela was taken into custody. His daughter was safe, investigators said.

Valenzuela allegedly stabbed his daughter's mother several times inside a home on Perry Avenue in New York City around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday before fleeing with the girl. The girl's mother was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where she is currently in critical condition.
