AC Couple Lied About Being Robbed at Gunpoint: Cops

Police say while the couple met the man, he had not rob them.

Two people who claimed they were robbed at gunpoint this week in Atlantic City are now facing charges of providing false information to police.

The charges were filed against 26-year-old George Noonan and 24-year-old Anna Falijiewicz, who both live in Middlesex County.

Atlantic City. Police Sgt. Monica McMenamin said that the couple claimed a man robbed them of $120 on Wednesday night. They provided details about the bandit, and a man fitting the description was soon located.

The couple told police the man was the person who robbed them. But further investigation determined that while the couple had met the man, he had not harmed them.

Investigators later determined that the couple didn't have money to get home and had fabricated the robbery claim.
