AAA: NJ Gas Prices Still Falling

Motorists continue to see lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.48, down 4 cents from last week. That's also lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.63.

This marks the fourth straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, the national average price fell by 4 cents to $3.54. That's much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.71.

Analysts warn that gas prices could rise in coming weeks, citing rising tensions in the Middle East and an expected rise in demand as the summer travel season comes to an end.
