“A Taste of Philadelphia” at Penn's Landing

“Wawa Welcome America” festival counts down to July 4th

Philadelphia’s July 4th celebration began Friday with the “Taste of Philadelphia” along Penn’s Landing.  The 3-day event is a chance to sample some of the city’s best foods, as well as tasty treats from across the country.

This year, the event covers two blocks over the Chestnut Street Bridge and there’s a second music stage.

Saturday night’s headliner was Aaron Neville.

On Sunday, James “JJ” Hairston and Youthful Praise performs for free at 6 pm.

And check out food from Philadelphia restaurants including Chenango, Tiffin, Gigi Restaurant, Jamaican Jerk Hut, Keatings River Grill, Darlings Diner and food trucks such as Dapper Dog and Call Me Cupcakes.
