Police Investigation Involving β€œThe Situation”

Authorities are investigating why the "Jersey Shore" cast member was not ticketed for driving a two-seater with three people in the car.

Authorities are investigating an encounter between police and "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike "The
Situation" Sorrentino.

A video obtained by TMZ shows three Belmar police officers talking to Sorrentino, who is behind the wheel of a two-seat Ferrari with two female passengers.

Belmar Police Chief Tom Palmisano tells the Asbury Park Press one woman was illegally seated on the other's lap and they weren't wearing seat belts.

Sorrentino then drove away without a ticket.

Palmisano says the officers could face disciplinary action ranging from a reprimand to suspension depending on their records with the department.

The cast of the MTV reality series returned to nearby Seaside Heights after they finished taping the show's fourth season in Florence, Italy.
