9/11 Brings Up Philly Area Transit Security Questions

The anniversary of 9/11 is a grim reminder to all of us about the importance of security. The Philadelphia Daily News took a closer look at security in our local transportation system. With previous attacks in Madrid and London, The Daily News wanted to know what SEPTA is doing to keep commuters safe. In their article, one of the things that SEPTA touts as a big security improvement is bomb detection machines.

These are the same bomb detection machines that Harry Hairston and the NBC10 Investigators looked into. Hairston told you that some had serious concerns about how well the machines would work. Here's Harry's report:
