An 83-year-old New Jersey landlord has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his tenant.
John Wisse called 911 Saturday afternoon saying his downstairs tenant had been shot, accoding to police. Officers arrived at Wisse's Hasbrouck Heights home and found the victim, Gerald Valardi, 58, dead with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Police found Wisse in the upstairs of the house with a handgun. He had apparently shot Valardi one time after an argument, police said.
He has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.
There was no information as to whether Wisse had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
