An elderly man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Reinaldo Bareto, 78, was hit while crossing the street at West Lehigh Avenue and North Mascher Street around 2:15 a.m.. Bareto was taken to nearby Temple University-Episcopal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead minutes later.
Police are looking for a white SUV or minivan with front-end damage and possibly a broken windshield.
