7-Year-Old Girl Calls 911, Saves Mother

"Something's wrong with my mom." Listen to the amazing 911 call by a Newark, Del. girl

A Delaware mother is thanking her 7-year-old daughter for saving her life. The little girl dialed 9-1-1 and told an operator that her mother was not acting right and needed help.

"She's acting crazy, she's on the floor and bumping into stuff," the young girl told an operator.

Operator: "Can you see that she's breathing?"

Girl: "I don't know if she's breathing because I don't feel her chest pumping."

Emergency crews were dispatched to their home on the first block of Thompson Circle in Newark, where they found her mother unconscious.

The mother was rushed to Christiana Hospital. She is okay and has been released from the hospital.

Newark Police released the 9-1-1 call and commended the young girl for her bravery. They want her story to send a message to all parents about the importance of teaching your child how to dial 9-1-1, and making sure they know their address and phone number.
