The car slammed through the front of the Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurant along Route 422 near Shillington Road in Sinking Spring, Berks County, Pa. just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Berks County dispatchers said.

WFMZ-TV reports that a female driver in her 70s thought she was hitting the brakes when she actually hit the accelerator, slamming through the windows of the restaurant.

Officials said the car drove over the curb, through the glass front wall and completely into the crowded restaurant.

From the air, glass could be seen shattered all over the ground inside the restaurant.

Seven people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and some had to be taken to nearby hospitals. Most of the injuries were from the galss shattering.

Police are investigating the incident.

It is unclear what made the driver crash into the burger joint.
