Convenience Store Holdup Across From Pennsylvania College Campus

No one was hurt during the armed robbery

A gunman held up a convenience store across the street from an area college campus overnight.

The armed suspect burst into the 7-Eleven store at 169 W City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania -- that’s across the street from Saint Joseph’s University -- around 3:15 a.m. Sunday and demanded money, according to Montgomery County dispatchers.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before the gunman fled the scene.

The clerk wasn’t hurt, according to Lower Merion Township Police.

Police didn’t have any description of the suspect and no arrests were made as of early Sunday.
