$5K Reward Offered in Rite Aid Robberies

The Rite Aid on Welsh Road and Blue Grass was robbed of prescription drugs twice in a week.

The Citizens Crime Commission and Rite Aid Corporation are offering a $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible in each of two seperate robberies at a Northeast Rite Aid.

In both robberies at the Welsh Road store, armed gunman fled the scene with stolen prescription drugs.

On May 14, police say an armed man pointed a gun at the pharmacist and demanded Percocets.

Then, on May 21, a masked man entered the store, ordered a security officer to the ground at gunpoint and also demanded Percocets before fleeing the scene in a blue SUV, according to police.
