$5K Reward Offered for Mom Killed in Crossfire

The money is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of Clarice Douglas

State Senator Anthony Williams, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, and the Citizen Crime Commission will hold a Monday press conference to announce a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that will lead to an arrest in the April 20 shooting death of Clarice Douglas.

Douglas is a mother of two, who was standing in the front of her home on the 1500 block of S. Corlies Street in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia, when she was caught in between a shootout between two men, according to police. It happened around 2:45 p.m.

Investigators say the 45-year-old mother was shot several times and died at the hospital.

One of the gunmen has been arrested, after being taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania to be treated for gunshot wounds, police said.

Police are trying to track down the second gunmen.
