4-Year-Old Boy Injured in Shootout

A 4-year-old boy was injured Monday night in Bethlehem after bullet fragments from a shooting struck his head, the Morning Call reports.

Police said the shooting involved five men and at least 20 gunshots on the 1100 block of Pembroke Road around 8 p.m. Metal fragments struck the boy on the left side of his head but police said his injuries were not serious, according to the Morning Call.

He was taken and treated at St. Luke's Hospital-Fountain Hill.

Currently, police do not have descriptions of the shooters, however, one man was described as a heavy-set Hispanic who wore a white T-shirt.

The shooting is still under investigation.
