Four Coatesville Area School District students were killed in a one-car crash in Chester County early Sunday morning, police say.

Collin McElroy, 16; Evan Pringle, 15; Jerry Warfel, 14; and Kyle Marsh, whose age could not be determined, were the four killed in the crash, police say.

The accident happened on the 1300 block of Manor Avenue, which is a two-lane road in West Brandywine Township, authorities say.

The car, with the four youths inside, flipped and slid up an embankment. Police say the students were thrown from the car.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

According to the Coatesville School District website, grief counselors will be available to students and staff on Tuesday.
